An awareness programme on the theme “The Role & Importance of Co-operative Society in improving the economic conditions of society in sustainable way” was conducted jointly by Sahakar Bharati Manipur State & Women’s Multipurpose Co-operative Society, Kha-Potshangbam, last Sunday on 5th May.
Held at Prameshwor Mandir, Kha-Potshangbam Maning Leikai, Bishnupur District, Manipur, the programme aimed at educating the members of the importance to undertake skills development training programme in handloom for enhancing their competency so as to increase productivity, and seek financial assistance for developing & expansion of business in sustainable manner.
Ex-President of Sahakar Bharati Manipur State, Shri Bhabeshwor Khundrakpam inaugurated the programme by welcoming the audience and he talked on potential of co-operative society as business enterprise in our society.
Prof. (Dr.) Ramanando Khundrakpam, Karyakarta of Sahakar Bharati Manipur State, emphasized on the role & importance of co-operative society in improving the economic conditions of society in sustainable way and focused on the importance to undertake skills development training programme in handloom for enhancing their competency so as to increase productivity and seek financial assistance for developing & expansion of business in sustainable manner.
Prof. (Dr.) Indira Devi shared the success stories of some of the re-known women co-operators in India to motivate the audience to take co-operative movement forward to build better tomorrow. Around 80 participants attended the programme.
