The Tehsil Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has made it clear that no cooperative society can sell land, plots or other immovable assets without prior permission from the Deputy Registrar or an appointed administrator, reports Lokmat Times.
The directive follows complaints about irregular and unauthorized disposals of society-owned properties. Officials said any such transaction must comply with the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960, and the related Rules of 1961.
A No Objection Certificate and formal approval from the Registrar’s office are mandatory before executing sale deeds or agreements involving cooperative assets.
