RBI Governor inaugurates CAFRAL Campus in Mumbai

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra inaugurated the new campus of the Centre for Advanced Financial Research and Learning (CAFRAL) in Mumbai, marking a significant step in strengthening financial sector research and capacity building in the country.

CAFRAL, established as India’s premier institution for policy-oriented financial research and leadership development, plays a key role in supporting the evolving needs of the financial system through high-quality research, training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

On the occasion, the RBI highlighted CAFRAL’s continued commitment to advancing research and enhancing professional capabilities across the banking and financial sectors. The institution has been actively engaged in promoting evidence-based policymaking and developing leadership skills among financial sector professionals.

The inauguration of the new campus is expected to further strengthen CAFRAL’s role as a centre of excellence for financial research, learning and capacity development in India.
