The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has extended the Directions imposed on the Pusad Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd. for another three months, with the restrictions now remaining in force till the close of business on November 7, 2026.
The regulatory Directions were originally issued on November 6, 2025, under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, for an initial period of six months. They were subsequently extended until August 7, 2026. The latest order further extends the Directions from August 7 to November 7, 2026, subject to review.
The RBI said it considered the extension necessary in the public interest. However, the central bank clarified that the continuation of the Directions should not be construed as an indication that it is satisfied with the bank’s financial position.
The RBI also stated that all other terms and conditions of the existing Directions will remain unchanged during the extended period.
