Following nullification of currency note Rs 2,000 by RBI, NAFSCOB Chairman K Ravinder Rao apprised DCCBs’ officials of its consequences through video conference from the TSCAB office in Hyderabad recently.
Mr Rao said that the RBI had withdrawn the circulation of Rs 2,000 notes and it would remain legal tender till September 30, 2023.
He said that the customers could deposit Rs 2,000 notes at any bank branch or RBI regional offices from May 23, 2023, onwards.
