Bihar Cooperation Minister Ram Kripal Yadav met Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah at Parliament House in New Delhi and discussed the progress and key issues concerning the cooperative sector in Bihar.
Yadav briefed Shah on initiatives to strengthen cooperatives and benefit farmers, including the Sakri cooperative sugar mill in Madhubani, Bihar State Cooperative Policy-2026, crop insurance, vegetable processing and marketing, grain storage and interstate cooperative society membership.
The meeting also covered computerisation of cooperatives, development of PACS as multipurpose service centres, expansion of banking services under “Sahakarita mein Sahakar”, training of cooperative personnel and linking cooperative products with national and international markets.
Yadav sought faster PACS computerisation, quicker MSP payments and timely release of funds to the State Food Corporation. Shah appreciated Bihar’s efforts and assured necessary support and guidance.
