Gujarat based Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank has sought inclusion of its representative in the electoral roll for the upcoming election to the Governing Council of the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), after finding its name missing from the provisional list of eligible members and delegates.

Acting on the bank’s representation, the Co-operative Election Authority (CEA) referred the matter to the Returning Officer and District Magistrate (South Delhi) for appropriate action in accordance with the provisions of the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, Rules and NCUI bye-laws.

In its representation, the Gujarat-based multi-state urban cooperative bank stated that it had nominated its Chairman, Dinesh Manharlal Pathak, as its delegate for the NCUI General Body meeting and the election of the Governing Council scheduled for July 15, 2026.

The bank said the nomination was approved by its Board of Directors and all requisite documents, including Annexure-4 and the board resolution, were submitted through email and courier within the prescribed timeline.

However, the bank claimed that neither its name nor that of its nominated delegate appeared in the provisional list of eligible members released for the election. It has urged the Returning Officer to verify the records and include its name in the final list of eligible members and delegates.
