The Gram Utthan camps, organized under the initiative of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, are making significant strides in promoting cooperative awareness and delivering benefits of various government schemes to rural citizens.
During the camps, the Cooperative Department has achieved notable milestones, including receiving 13,352 applications for Kisan Credit Cards, 226 for NCEL, 208 for NCOL, 322 for BBSSL memberships, and preparing applications for new warehouses, 140 for 100 MT, 59 for 250 MT, and 36 for 500 MT capacities.
Additionally, 3,113 farmers opened cooperative bank accounts through DCS, 245 SHG loan applications were submitted, 776 applications under the 5% interest subsidy scheme were processed, and 21,214 membership applications were approved. Information on cooperative loan schemes reached over 91,313 beneficiaries, while 133 new applications for Custom Hiring Centers were prepared.
At a recent camp in Gunsi Girdawar Circle, 11 farmers availed benefits of the interest-free crop loan scheme for the first time after joining cooperative societies. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, noting that the support brought renewed hope and confidence.
Since January 23, a total of 687 Gram Utthan camps have been conducted across the state, with more than 2.11 lakh rural participants attending on the first day alone. Farmers like Parsaram from Dhundhla, Pali, appreciated the simplicity of applying for Kisan Credit Cards and Gopal Card schemes, indicating they would soon apply to avail benefits.
The camps continue to serve as a vital platform for awareness and direct access to government schemes for Rajasthan’s rural population.
