The Rajasthan government has established 152 millet outlets across the state, exceeding the initial target of 34 by over four times, said Manju Rajpal, principal secretary of the state cooperative department.
This achievement reflects strong efforts from cooperative societies and growing consumer interest in including millets in their diet.
The outlets have been set up not only through the Rajasthan State Cooperative Consumer Federation (Confed) and District Cooperative Consumer Stores but also by purchasing-selling cooperative societies and village service cooperative societies.
The initiative aims to promote millets as a nutritious, sustainable alternative in everyday consumption.
