Pune DCCB GM Shitole takes Charge as CEO

In a significant development in Maharashtra’s cooperative banking sector, Sanjay Shitole, General Manager of the Pune District Central Cooperative Bank (Pune DCCB), has been given charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank. He officially assumed charge on Friday.

The development follows the appointment of outgoing Pune DCCB CEO Aniruddha Desai as the CEO of the Sindhudurg District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB).

Speaking to Indian Cooperative, Shitole confirmed the development and expressed confidence about securing the regulator’s approval.

“Yes, I have been given charge as CEO. I will work with full commitment to take the bank to greater heights. The Board will now write to RBI regarding my appointment. I believe I fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by RBI and am hopeful of receiving the regulator’s approval,” he said.

Pune DCCB is among the largest and most influential district central cooperative banks in Maharashtra, playing a crucial role in providing credit and banking services to the rural cooperative sector across Pune district.
