M.S.R.V. Prasad, Chairman of the Hyderabad-headquartered Prasaditya Group, has been elected as the Chairman of Hyderabad-based The Citizen Co-operative Society Ltd, one of the largest urban cooperative societies in the country. P.R.V.P.S. Raju has been elected as the Vice-Chairman.
The Co-operative Election Authority has formally approved their election, thereby completing the democratic process for the new leadership of the Society.
Earlier, the election of the Board of Directors for the 2025–2030 term was held unopposed, reflecting unanimous support from the members.
The Citizen Co-operative Society reported a total business turnover of Rs 4,850 crore as on November 30, 2025. During the period, the Society’s deposits stood at Rs 2,490 crore, while loans and advances amounted to Rs 2,360 crore, highlighting its robust financial position and growing scale of operations.
The unanimous election and subsequent approval underline the confidence reposed by the members and Directors in the leadership of Shri M.S.R.V. Prasad and Shri P.R.V.P.S. Raju.
The newly elected Chairman and Vice-Chairman are expected to steer the Society towards sustained growth, strengthened governance, and enhanced member-centric services during their tenure.
