The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police has taken into custody Ranjeet Singh, former director of the co-operative bank, reports ET Now quoting ANI.
This is yet another arrest in the PMC scam. The accused is the son of former BJP MLA Tara Singh. Earlier, the EOW of Mumbai police had apprehended two auditors of the bank on charges of overlooking the irregularities.
The arrested persons were working as statutory auditors when the scam was committed, a source said.
