Media reports say the autobiography of Balasaheb Vikhe Patil was released virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who said Dr Balasaheb would always be remembered for his important contributions to the cooperative movement in Maharashtra.
Dr Balasaheb’s commitment to the cooperative movement is evident from the fact that he wrote extensively on the impartial and useful role cooperatives played in society, Modi said.
The prime minister said he did a great deal for the welfare of villages by providing them with irrigation water. Several dignitaries including the Maharashtra chief minister attended the event.
