PM held up at Dehradun airport due to bad weather

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was scheduled hand over NCDC cheque to Uttarakhand Chief Minister, among other activities got held up at Dehradun airport due to bad weather.

His chopper could not take off due to inclement weather as he had to address a rally in Rudrapur. Modi was to hand over NCDC’s cheque of Rs 100 crore to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on Thursday.

This was towards the first instalment of fund under Integrated Cooperative Development Project, transferred by National Cooperative Development Cooperation to the State Government.

Prime Minister had to visit Rudrapur where he was expected to launch the State Integrated Cooperative Development Project and distribute loan cheques to a select few beneficiaries of the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Farmers Welfare Scheme.
