The Union Ministry of Cooperation has highlighted a major step towards strengthening cybersecurity in the cooperative banking sector, with more than 1,200 cooperative banks onboarded on the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C).
In a recent social media post, the Ministry said the initiative would help prevent cyber fraud and ensure swift action against digital banking-related threats.
Describing the move as an important step towards safer banking and digital security, the Ministry reiterated its commitment to building a secure cooperative banking ecosystem.
The onboarding of cooperative banks on the I4C platform is significant as digital banking adoption continues to expand across the cooperative sector. It is expected to strengthen coordination in addressing cybercrime-related challenges and improve the response mechanism against financial fraud.
