Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised Reddyvari Batthi Reddy, a small farmer from Andhra Pradesh for apprising fellow farmers of the benefits of the central govt’s cow based organic farming scheme, reports Deccan Chronicle.
Batthi Reddy established in 2020 the Kalahasteeswara Farmer Producer Company, an agricultural cooperative and successfully experimented with cow-based organic farming techniques in palm oil cultivation.
His new farming techniques inspired many farmers into joining the cooperative. The latter has 550 shareholders. .
