Under the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, a one-day awareness programme was organised on Monday at the auditorium of the State Institute of Agricultural Management (SIAM), Jaipur.
The programme was held on the theme “Strengthening PACS and Grassroots Cooperative Institutions through the New National Cooperative Policy.”
The event was attended by Principal Secretary (Agriculture and Cooperation) Ms. Manju Rajpal, Managing Director of BBSSL Chetan Joshi, Director of NIAM Ms. Hema Yadav, along with other distinguished guests.
During the programme, experts held detailed deliberations on the role of cooperative societies in promoting seed certification, seed business, seed legislation, and organic farming.
Special emphasis was also laid on the effective implementation of the new National Cooperative Policy, strengthening coordination with the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, and exploring the opportunities available in Rajasthan in terms of technical education and employment-oriented prospects.
