The Orissa state cooperative milk producers’ federation limited (Omfed) will set up a five lakh litre state of the art dairy plant near Trishulia in Cuttack district in the next two years, reports Times of India.
Omfed officials said a land of 51 acres have been earmarked for the plant.
Officials claimed procurement of milk by Omfed will touch 10 lakh litres per day by 2020.
Omfed will export milk and milk products to Soviet Union, Bangladesh and Myanmar for the benefit of Odisha farmers, officials added.
