The Odisha State Cooperative Union on Tuesday launched celebrations marking the fifth Foundation Day of the Ministry of Cooperation at Cooperative Bhavan in Bhubaneswar as part of the nationwide campaign being observed from June 29 to July 6.
Odisha Cooperation Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta inaugurated the event by hoisting the Cooperative Flag and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to strengthening the cooperative movement in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.
He said Odisha is working to establish at least one agricultural credit, dairy or fisheries cooperative in every Gram Panchayat while converting PACS into Multi-Purpose PACS. The programme also featured the release of a special edition of Samabaya Samachar and the Cooperative Circular Book.
