Odisha RCS orders timely AGMs and Dividend Compliance
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Registrar of Cooperative Societies has instructed all cooperatives in Odisha to prominently display the names of their board members and complete their AGMs for the current financial year by March 31, 2026, media reports say.

Societies must conduct AGMs annually with at least 200 members, as required by law. Cooperation Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta has also directed that profit-making cooperatives earning over Rs 1 crore distribute dividends to members in line with the OCS Act and their bye-laws.

Field officers have been asked to ensure strict monitoring, especially of PACS and LAMPS that earn profits through paddy procurement.
