Odisha Minister bats for state’s co-op model at ICA

Addressing the joint International Cooperative Alliance Committee meeting in Leuven, Belgium Odisha’s Cooperative Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, said Odisha was actively engaged in making cooperatives the most important instrument for realizing the goals of economic development in the state.

The minister is on a 8-day visit to Belgium. The minister revealed that to ensure good governance prosperity the state govt. has undertaken Computerization/Digitization of the Agricultural Cooperative Credit Structure, Making PACSs One-Stop-Shops, Creation of new PACS/LAMPCS, Procurement of Agri Produce, Cooperative Support System, Cooperative Capacity Building and Bringing in a Separate Cooperative Policy.

Nayak is attending the joint International Cooperative Alliance Committee on Cooperative Research Global and European Cooperative Research Conference. Speaking on the occasion Minister Nayak told that Odisha is one of the most progressive states in adopting innovations in the field of cooperatives.
