Novel experiment: CHS reduces electricity bill

Krishna Mahal cooperative housing society in Chembur in eastern Mumbai has been able to significantly reduce its electricity expenses by using a rooftop solar power plant, reports HT.

Sources quantify the cooperative society’s total savings on the electricity bills of Rs 1.12 lakh every year.

The cooperative has spent Rs 4.88 lakh on setting up the rooftop solar plant.
