As part of the vision of “White Revolution 2.0 – Sahakar Se Samriddhi,” the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) organised a Regional Workshop for the Northern Region at the Civil Services Officers’ Institute, New Delhi.
The workshop brought together senior officials from NDDB, the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), the Ministry of Cooperation, State Animal Husbandry Departments, Milk Federations, Milk Unions and Registrars of Cooperative Societies.
The meeting reviewed achievements made during 2024–26 and charted a strategic roadmap for 2026–27. It also provided a platform for dairy cooperatives to share best practices, discuss operational challenges, promote inter-cooperative collaboration and explore resource convergence.
Addressing participants, Dr. V. Sridhar, Executive Director, NDDB, stressed the importance of keeping Dairy Cooperative Societies vibrant by ensuring regular input services to farmers. Dayanand Sawant, Deputy Commissioner, DAHD, highlighted the need to expand membership, increase milk procurement and effectively leverage Central and State government schemes.
Senior representatives from Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and other northern states also participated in the workshop.
