NDCCB strike ends at CM’s intervention

The indefinite strike of Nagpur District Central Co-operative Bank (NDCCB) employees ended on last weekend after Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis intervened, reports Hitavada

It is being said that the bank management agreed to fulfill demands of the employees after the CM intervened.

It bears recall that earlier NDCCB Chairman of the Administrative board, Praveen Wankhede  had said that bank’s financial position was not good enough to fulfill the demands of employees.

The NDCCB has suffered a huge loss amounting to around Rs 200 crore earlier.

The employees of the bank are on strike because they have not got their increment and DA since 2015. The strike had spread beyond the NDCCB headquarters at Nagpur city hitting branches in the district as well.
