NCUI: GC member Verma’s wife elected MLC

Vandana Verma (BJP), the wife of veteran cooperator Mudit Verma, has been elected as the MLC from Muzaffarnagar-Saharanpur Local Authority Constituency of Uttar Pradesh.

For the first time, BJP has won this seat and Mrs.Verma defeated Samajwadi Party candidate Mohammad Arif by a margin of  3001 votes. She got 3843 votes whereas Arif got only 842 votes.

Bharatiya Janata Party BJP made a clean sweep in the UP 2022 Uttar Pradesh legislative council elections. BJP won 33 of 36 Seats on Tuesday.

Vandana’s husband Mudit Verma is a well-known co-operator in Delhi circle, who despite being a member of Sahakar Bharati attracts support from the opposition camp as well. He is on the board of NCUI and Nafcub.

Vandana herself a co-operators, has been the Chairperson of DCCB.
