NCEL strengthens Co-op-led Agri Exports: Mohol

The National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL) has been established with the core objective of strengthening cooperative-based national agricultural exports and creating better market opportunities for farmers.

In a significant step towards this goal, around 15,000 cooperative societies from across the country have already joined NCEL as members, reflecting growing confidence in the cooperative export framework.

NCEL’s key stakeholders and shareholders include leading national cooperative institutions such as IFFCO, KRIBHCO, NAFED, AMUL and the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), giving the organisation a strong institutional foundation and nationwide reach.

Together, these institutions are working to enhance India’s agri-export potential through collective strength and professional management.

Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Murlidhar Mohol, said that NCEL, along with National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) and Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL), is functioning under a transparent governance system.

He noted that annual reports of these institutions are prepared as per prescribed procedures and tabled in Parliament every year, ensuring accountability, transparency and public oversight in cooperative operations.
