A government order released on Monday has brought good news for the NCDC Managing Director Pankaj Kumar Bansal who has been promoted to Additional Secretary from Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment. “Shri Pankaj Kumar Bansal, lAS (TN:97), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation”, the government order reads.
Bansal is a 1997-batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre. He held many important positions in his career which included Commission of Land Administration, Chairman and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Central Prabhari Officer, Ramanathapuram district, Tamil Nadu and others.
Though in dual charge, Bansal has been focussing on NCDC loaning activities with no less sincerity, leading the Union Minister lauding NCDC’s performance during the recently held meeting.
Bansal is also the Chairman of one of the leading national level co-operatives floated recently namely, NCEL- National Cooperative Exports Limited.
