The National Cooperative Development Corporation Regional Office in Thiruvananthapuram is participating in Krishi Vaibhav 2026, a major agricultural fair being held at Putharikandam Maidanam in Kerala. The event was formally inaugurated on May 15 by George Kurian and presided over by V V Rajesh.
The grand mela features more than 90 stalls showcasing local agricultural innovation, rural entrepreneurship and cooperative-led initiatives. A key highlight of the event is the participation of 40 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), including nine directly supported by NCDC.
The fair is providing a platform for farmers, cooperatives and producer groups to display value-added products, share best practices and connect with consumers and stakeholders. Through its participation, NCDC aims to promote grassroots innovation, strengthen FPO networks and encourage sustainable agricultural development in Kerala.
Krishi Vaibhav 2026 is drawing strong public response and highlighting the growing role of cooperatives and FPOs in empowering farmers and boosting rural livelihoods.
