On the occasion of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, NCDC Meghalaya announced and conferred the NCDC Regional Awards for Cooperative Excellence and Merit – 2025 to recognize outstanding cooperative societies in the State.
The awards were presented recently at the Conference Hall of the Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank, Shillong. The ceremony honoured cooperatives for their exemplary performance, adherence to cooperative principles, and significant contribution to inclusive growth and socio-economic development in Meghalaya.
The programme was presided over by Waibha K. Kyndiah, Chairman, Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd., and attended by R. N. Rymbai, DRCS, Government of Meghalaya.
Senior officials from the Cooperation Department, Government of Meghalaya, and the Deputy Director, SO Meghalaya under RO Guwahati, were also present.
The awards highlighted innovation, sound governance practices, and the vital role played by cooperatives in promoting self-reliance and community development.
