To commemorate the completion of five years of the Ministry of Cooperation, the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) Regional Office, Dehradun, organised a tree plantation drive at its office premises on July 6, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and ecological conservation.
Officers and employees enthusiastically planted a variety of shade-giving, fruit-bearing and environmentally beneficial saplings at suitable locations within the campus. The programme highlighted the vital role of trees in addressing pressing challenges such as climate change, biodiversity conservation and environmental protection.
Participants also pledged to undertake extensive tree plantation activities and ensure the regular care and protection of the saplings to secure their healthy growth and long-term environmental benefits.
Representatives of the Central Board for Bamboo and Other Bast Fibers (CBBBO) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) actively joined the campaign, carrying out plantation activities at various locations and contributing to the initiative’s success.
