Newly recruited officers of the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) visited major cooperative institutions as part of their orientation programme aimed at familiarising them with the cooperative ecosystem.
The officers toured Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited, National Cooperative Exports Limited and National Cooperative Organics Limited to gain first-hand exposure to cooperative initiatives and operations.
According to NCDC, the visits provided the new recruits an opportunity to witness the cooperative spirit in action and understand how cooperative institutions serve farmers and communities across the country.
The orientation programme is designed to help officers connect with grassroots realities and appreciate the role of cooperation in inclusive development. NCDC said the exposure will enable the officers to better understand their responsibilities as they begin their journey in strengthening India’s cooperative movement.
