NCDC MD visits co-op hospital in Mumbai

NCDC MD Sundeep Nayak has visited one of the Mumbai based cooperative hospitals namely Shushrusha Citizens Cooperative Hospital. It is equipped with all the modern facilities and has a head office in Dadar and a branch in Vikhroli.

Sharing the news through social media, the twitter handle of the MD NCDC wrote, ” Privileged to meet Padma Bhushan Dr NS Laud at iconic Shushrusha Citizens Coop Hospital Dadar West Mumbai today”.

Interestingly, Indian Cooperative correspondent also visited the hospital and interacted with the officials of the healthcare facility. One of the founder members, Dr N S Laud, briefed Indian Cooperative about the working of the hospital.

The 127-bed capacity hospital is equipped with all the latest technologies. Besides, the management had given the hospital’s Vikhroli branch to BMC for dealing with Covid-19.

It bears recall that NCDC has launched Ayushman Sahakar with an outlay of Rs.10,000 crore, aimed at extending financial support to hospitals, healthcare infrastructure, medical education, etc through cooperatives.

Ayushman Sahakar also covers nursing education, paramedical education, drugs manufacturing, digital health, laboratory services, health insurance and Indian traditional medical systems like Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.
