The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) has created history by disbursing over Rs 1 lakh crore, crossing this landmark for the first time since its inception.
This remarkable achievement marks a major boost for India’s cooperative sector and reflects the growing strength, scale, and outreach of cooperative institutions across the country.
The milestone has been achieved under the guiding vision of #CooperationThroughProsperity, aimed at empowering farmers, rural entrepreneurs, and cooperative societies through timely and affordable financial support.
NCDC’s expanding assistance has played a pivotal role in strengthening agriculture, dairy, fisheries, handloom, and other allied sectors, directly contributing to rural livelihoods and inclusive growth.
The growth trajectory has been especially striking over the past decade. In 2014–15, NCDC’s total disbursement stood at Rs 5,735.51 crore. By 2025–26, this figure has surged to over Rs 1 lakh crore, underscoring the corporation’s enhanced institutional capacity and operational efficiency.
