The National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE), under National Cooperative Union of India, recently organised a training programme on “Strategic Communications and Public Relations in Cooperatives,” aimed at strengthening professional PR and media engagement skills among cooperative communication officials.

The programme witnessed participation from PR representatives of leading cooperative organisations, including KRIBHCO, BBSSL, Amul and NBCFDC, among others.

Earlier, NCCE had also organised a one-day programme on “Mainstreaming Cooperatives in Educational Institutions,” attended by representatives from schools, management institutes and NGOs, with discussions focusing on integrating cooperative education and awareness into academic spaces.

The inaugural address at both programmes was delivered by Rajeev Sharma, Executive Director, NCCE, who highlighted the objectives and expected outcomes of the initiatives. The programmes were coordinated by Inderpreet Kaur, Assistant Director, NCCE.

Sanjay Verma, former Director (Public Relations), NCUI served as resource persons. Participants appreciated the quality and relevance of the programmes and called for such initiatives to be organised regularly.
