NAFED’s “FPO BizConnect: Connect. Trade. Grow.” brought together Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), buyers and key stakeholders on a common platform to explore new market opportunities and strengthen trade linkages.
Held last week, the workshop-cum-Buyer-Seller Meet provided FPOs an opportunity to engage directly with potential buyers, understand market requirements and explore avenues for expanding their businesses.
Deepak Agarwal, IAS, Managing Director, NAFED, graced the event, which focused on creating stronger commercial connections between FPOs and markets.
A key highlight of the programme was the renewal of the NAFED-ABEPL Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for another three years. The renewed partnership is expected to strengthen opportunities for NAFED-promoted FPOs while supporting sustainable bamboo-based rural livelihoods.
The initiative reflects NAFED’s efforts to help FPOs move beyond production and build stronger market-oriented businesses through direct buyer connections, partnerships and sustainable value chains.
FPO BizConnect thus emerged as a platform aimed at helping farmer organisations connect with markets, expand trade and grow sustainably.
