NAFED: Chairman & Directors give warm send-off to MD

Nafed’s Managing Director Rajbir Singh was given a warm farewell on Monday at the Nafed headquarters at Ashram Chowk in Delhi, after completing his fruitful tenure of 1.5 years.

Agricultural Ministry’s official Ritesh Chauhan, a Joint Secretary level officer has been given the additional charge till a permanent appointment is made. He is also CEO, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna and 2005 batch IAS officer of HP cadre.

Nafed Chairman Bijendra Singh, Chandra Pal Singh and senior officials of agri cooperative participated in Rajbir’s grand farewell held on Monday in Delhi.

Later on, the official twitter handle of Nafed wrote, “Dr. Bijender Singh, Chairman NAFED thanked Sh. Rajbir Singh for his remarkable contributions to NAFED’s transformation while warmly welcoming Sh. Ritesh Chauhan as its new MD in presence of officials & dignitaries from the Coop sector. The NAFED family wishes them good luck for the future”.

No doubt, Singh played a crucial role in turning around the fortunes of Nafed-the pride of co-operatives in the country. He created many milestones at Nafed by initiating several new schemes, which grabbed the media attention.

Rajbir Singh has been credited with opening a Millets Centre at Dilli Haat. He has also played an important role in expanding the Nafed Bazaar network in different parts of the country. The Indian Cooperative also joins in wishing him good luck for the future.
