Spearheading conversations on the next phase of inclusive finance, Ms C. Saraswathi, Chief General Manager, NABARD, participated as Guest of Honour at the National Conference on Financial Inclusion 2026.
The event featured Shri Goutam Tetwal, Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment, Madhya Pradesh, as Chief Guest. In her address, Saraswathi noted that India’s inclusion journey now extends beyond access toward usage, service quality, and sustainability.
She stressed deeper outreach in rural, tribal, and semi-urban regions, alongside stronger credit absorption. The conference gathered leaders from banking, education, and development, including Santosh Choubey, Deepak Kumar Lalla, Siddharth Chaturvedi, Sitesh Kumar Sinha, and Anurag Gupta. Organised by AISECT, it united stakeholders to advance inclusive growth.
Over 1,000 business correspondents and service points were recognised for enabling last-mile banking access nationwide. Their efforts were highlighted as essential to bridging gaps in financial literacy, expanding digital adoption, and building trust among underserved communities across the country, ensuring inclusive progress remains resilient and sustainable.
