MP Lokayukta catches co-op inspector red handed

The MP Lokayukta caught the co-operative department’s inspector RK Gangil red handed taking a bribe of Rs 40k from a complainant recently, reports Free Press Journal.

Police say the accused had demanded a bribe of Rs 80k from Satish Bairagi, an employee of the Minor Forest Produce Society to cancel the termination order and reinstate his service.

However, when pressured to give the remaining amount, Bairagi lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta. The Lokayukta of Gwalior sprang into action nabbing the criminal.
