The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved the launch of the Kavach Yojana by the Cooperation Department to provide relief to farmers affected by irregularities in cooperative loan accounts.
Announcing the decision, Cooperative Minister Rakesh Singh said the scheme aims to protect farmers whose loan accounts were adversely impacted due to administrative or financial irregularities in cooperative institutions.
Eligible farmers will receive relief, enabling them to once again avail themselves of various government welfare and agricultural schemes from which they had been excluded because of disputed loan records.
The initiative is intended to safeguard farmers’ interests, restore their eligibility for institutional benefits and strengthen confidence in the cooperative credit system.
The Cabinet said the scheme reflects the state government’s commitment to ensuring transparency, accountability and farmer welfare through reforms in the cooperative sector.
