MoS felicitates successful credit co-ops for performances

Union Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad felicitated the successful credit cooperatives of India for their outstanding performance, in a glittering function organized by the Sahakar Bharati on credit cooperatives at ICAR, New Delhi on Sunday.

The credit cooperatives which were felicitated in National Level Category included Maharashtra based Dnyandeep Credit Cooperative Society, Adarsha Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha and Telangana based Citizen Credit Cooperative Society.

Besides, other seven credit co-ops of Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat and Goa were honoured with Shawls, mementos in the state level category and others. These were felicitated on their balance sheet and financial figures of 2022-23.

On behalf of Dnyandeep Credit Cooperative Society, its Chairman Jijaba Pawar and its directors received the award. The society’s business mix is more than Rs 5800 crore and has a network of 110 branches in several parts of Maharashtra.

Adarsha Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha founder Chairman Suresh Patil received the award with the directors of the society from dignitaries. The society has a business mix of more than 550 crore and earned a profit of Rs 4.81 crore as on 31st March 2023.

In the state level category, from Maharashtra- Veeracharya Babasaheb Kuchnure Jilha Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha, Sangli and Bhagyashree Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha, Chandrapur received awards.

From Delhi- Vijayvergia Co Operative Thrift & Credit Society and Bhai Mati Dass Co-operative Urban Thrift and Credit Society. Besides, Quepem Urban Co-Operative Credit Society and Sattari Urban Cooperative Credit Society got awards from Goa and Shri Swami Vivekanand Multistate Co. Credit Society received the award from Gujarat.

On this occasion, four credit cooperative societies of Karnataka and Gujarat were also felicitated for completing more than 100 years of their existence.

During the felicitation of credit co-ops, Sahakar Bharati Chairman DN Thakur, National General Secretary Uday Joshi, Nafcub President Jyotindra Mehta, Buldana Urban Founder Chairman Radheshyam Chandak, BJP Leader Annasaheb Shankar Jolle, Shyam Jaju and others were present.
