The Maharashtra government is making efforts to ensure that all eligible farmers receive benefits under the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Debt Relief Scheme. State Cooperation Minister Babasaheb Patil said that the government is committed to providing justice to farmers by extending the scheme’s benefits to every eligible beneficiary.
Patil stated that the government is also considering the inclusion of farmers who had already received assistance under previous loan waiver schemes. He noted that many farmers have raised concerns regarding eligibility and coverage, and the government is taking a positive view of these demands.
To examine the issue in detail, a committee has been constituted and will review the proposal and recommend a way forward.
The minister expressed confidence that a decision on the inclusion of previously benefited farmers will be taken soon, providing relief to a larger section of the farming community.
