Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol reviewed the progress of Tribhuvan Sahkari University (TSU) during a meeting at the National Institute of Cooperative Management (NICM), Gandhinagar, directing officials to complete all academic, administrative and institutional preparations within the stipulated timelines for the launch of various courses.
The review meeting formed part of Mohol’s official visit to Gujarat and focused on ensuring the smooth operationalisation of Tribhuvan Sahkari University, India’s first national university exclusively dedicated to the cooperative sector. The initiative is expected to play a transformative role in cooperative education, training, research and capacity building across the country.
Earlier in the day, Mohol attended the first convocation of Tribhuvan Sahkari University at Anand as the Chief Guest, highlighting the institution’s growing importance in strengthening professional leadership for the cooperative movement.
The Gandhinagar meeting was attended by IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani, Rajya Sabha MP Narhari Amin, Gujarat State Cooperative Union Chairman Ghanshyambhai Amin, Kheti Bank Chairman Dollarbhai Kotecha, TSU Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. P. Singh, and other senior dignitaries. Discussions also covered NICM’s ongoing activities, future expansion plans, and strategies to enhance cooperative education and skill development in line with the vision of ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi.’
