Union Ministry of Cooperation Secretary Dr. Ashish Bhutani chaired a high-level review on Monday to assess the progress of Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited (Sahakar Taxi) and discuss measures to expedite the rollout of the cooperative-based mobility platform.

Held at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan in New Delhi, the deliberations focused on strengthening the initiative’s operational framework, accelerating implementation, and expanding outreach to ensure wider participation of cooperative members across the country.

Officials reviewed milestones achieved so far and discussed key operational and implementation strategies. The discussions also focused on positioning Sahakar Taxi as a viable cooperative alternative in the ride-hailing sector while maximizing benefits for member-drivers and cooperative institutions.

The review further emphasized advancing the Ministry of Cooperation’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” through cooperative-led mobility solutions and ensuring the timely execution of the project.

The meeting was attended by Joint Secretary Raman Kumar, Director Vinay Sheel Gautam, and representatives of the concerned organizations and the Ministry of Cooperation.
