Mizoram Cooperation Minister Pu P.C. Vanlalruata inaugurated a hardware distribution programme under the Computerisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies (PACS) Phase-II project at the RCS Conference Hall in Aizawl.

Addressing the event, the minister said digitisation would strengthen cooperative societies and improve their efficiency in supporting rural development.

He urged PACS to utilise the hardware effectively and contribute to Mizoram’s progress. Cooperation Department Commissioner and Secretary Pu Udit Prakash Rai said nearly 270 PACS operate in Mizoram and efforts are underway to ensure all are computerised. Under the centrally sponsored project, 24 PACS have been selected in Phase-II for computerisation.
