Minister backs stronger Co-op Milk Sector in Maharashtra

Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Atul Save visited the modern dairy plant and processing centre of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd. (Devgiri) at Gandheli and reviewed its operations and infrastructure.

During the visit, Save inspected milk collection systems, processing operations, quality testing facilities and cold chain infrastructure. He also reviewed dairy products manufactured using modern technology at the cooperative facility.

The minister highlighted the important role played by cooperative dairy institutions in strengthening the rural economy and providing financial support to thousands of milk-producing farmers.

A detailed meeting was held with the union’s board members and officials to discuss expansion of production capacity, technological upgrades, quality control measures and operational challenges.

Reiterating the state government’s commitment to farmer welfare, Save assured full support for the future development and expansion plans of the Devgiri Dairy Union, stressing that prosperous farmers are key to a stronger rural Maharashtra.
