Mehta mourns loss of Abhay Bharadwaj

Jyotindra Mehta, an ace co-operator has, among others, expressed shock at the passing away of Abhay Ganpathrai Bharadwaj (66) due to the Covid 19 complications.

A Rajya Sabha member of BJP from Gujarat, Bharadwaj was an advocate turned politician who was also closely associated with the RSS and the ABVP since his college days.

He was also a member of the 21st Law Commission of India and contributed towards legislations like Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019 and Uniform civil code.

Paying his homage Mehta wrote “I cannot accept the cruel fact that our beloved friend Shri Abhaybhai Bhardwaj has left us for his heavenly abode. Destiny’s cruel blow has proved to be fatal that has deprived us of our lively and compassionate friend from us.

May his soul rest in eternal peace. Aum Shanti, shanti, shanti.”

Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, Abhay Bharadwaj and Jyotindra Mehta were seen as close members of the ABVP troika during the college days.
