There are media reports that senior leader of BJP and Chairman of Meerut District Cooperative Bank Maninder Pal Singh received death threat calls on Saturday night.
Maninderpal Singh, resident in the Pallavapuram police station area in Meerut, said that he was working in the office after having dinner at home on Saturday night. At 9:06 pm, the first call came from an unknown mobile number which he could not receive.
Immediately thereafter the second call came with the caller saying he had come out of Tihar Jail and he was a friend of Raku Daurala. He has taken two crore rupees from someone for killing Maninderpal Singh and his family. Singh disconnected the call, according to a media report.
