IFFCO Managing Director K. J. Patel has hailed IFFCO Kalol’s receipt of the prestigious IFA Green Leaf Award, describing it as a proud milestone for the cooperative and a recognition of its unwavering commitment to Safety, Health and Environment (SHE).
Presented at the International Fertilizer Association (IFA) Annual Conference in Monaco, the award is regarded as the fertiliser industry’s highest global honour for excellence in SHE practices.
Patel noted that Kalol, IFFCO’s first manufacturing unit and one of India’s pioneering ammonia-urea plants, has remained a symbol of technical excellence and sustainable manufacturing for more than five decades.
He said the recognition reflects the plant’s world-class safety standards, engineering capabilities, continuous modernization and environmental stewardship.
The award was presented by IFA Chair Kenneth Seitz and CEO Alzbeta Klein, and received on behalf of IFFCO by Rajni Kant Sharma. Patel dedicated the achievement to generations of Kalol employees whose dedication and expertise have sustained the plant’s global standards.
Congratulating the entire IFFCO family, he reaffirmed the cooperative’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and responsible manufacturing in the service of farmers and Indian agriculture.
