Mamata govt dissolves board of Bhatpara Naihati Co-op Bank

Mamata govt in West Bengal has dissolved the board of Bhatpara Naihati Cooperative Bank as a TMC -MLA-turned-BJP-candidate Arjun Singh was its chairman. The bank has been put under an administrator, reports HT.

 Singh will contest from Barrackpore Lok Sabha constituency as a BJP candidate.

The BJP leader charges Trinamool Congress is indulging in vendetta politics and he has threatened to take the matter to court.

However, TMC has rubbished the charge.

The bank was set up in 1926 and has four branches with 1.07 lakh depositors.
