In a significant administrative development, BJP leader Mahendra Singh Yadav has been appointed as the Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Bank.
The appointment follows an official notification issued last week by the Office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Madhya Pradesh.
According to the notification, Yadav, a resident of Gwalior district, takes over the role with immediate effect from April 25, 2026. With this appointment, he replaces the Principal Secretary, who was previously overseeing the bank’s operations in an administrative capacity.
The move is being viewed as an important shift in the governance structure of the cooperative banking sector in the state.
